They spent ten years refining their approach, and rebranded as Psixty UK to reflect the agency they had always set out to build.

Martin has been working in sales recruitment since 2008, when he joined a global recruitment group as a consultant fresh into the industry. He became Consultant of the Year in both 2009 and 2010, grew through Sales Manager to Regional Sales Director, and built one of the most successful recruitment desks in the Thames Valley before joining James to build what would become Psixty UK.
He started Psixty UK because he believed the industry had a fundamental problem. Too many agencies were prioritising speed over quality, sending clients whatever CVs were available rather than the right people. Martin built Psixty UK around a different idea: fewer clients, deeper relationships, and a genuine commitment to getting every placement right.
His CV to placement ratio is one of the best in the business. He attributes that to one thing above everything else: listening. Understanding what a client actually needs, not just what they have written in a job spec. And understanding what a candidate actually wants, not just what they say in an interview.
Outside of work, Martin is a four-time full Ironman finisher, an enthusiastic golfer, and someone who takes his food very seriously, both cooking it and eating it. He is competitive in everything he does, which probably explains why he is still picking up the phone himself rather than delegating every search to a junior consultant.

James has been working in sales and commercial recruitment since 2004, making him one of the most experienced sales recruiters in the Thames Valley. He spent over a decade at a global recruitment group, progressing from Sales Manager through to Business Development Director across both their sales and graduate recruitment divisions, before joining Martin to build what would become Psixty UK.

He is involved from the moment a job specification is being written right through to onboarding and beyond.
