An established recruitment business in Guildford is looking for a Business Development Manager focused entirely on client acquisition. No candidates. Pure new business, building relationships with hiring managers and HR leaders across the South East.
About the Role
This is a genuinely unusual role in recruitment. You will have no candidate responsibility. Your entire focus is winning and developing client relationships. Delivery consultants handle the candidate side of every search.
- Identify and target new client opportunities across the South East
- Build relationships with HR Directors and hiring managers
- Conduct face-to-face and virtual client meetings to position the agency's services
- Negotiate terms of business and commercials with new clients
- Manage a growing portfolio of active client accounts alongside new business activity
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in business development or client acquisition within recruitment or professional services
- Proven track record of winning new clients from a cold start
- Confident and credible in client-facing meetings
- Self-motivated with strong pipeline management discipline
- No candidate experience required — this is a purely client-facing sales role
What Is on Offer
- £45,000 base salary with OTE of £80,000 and uncapped commission above that
- Guildford-based office with flexible working
