The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Sales Manager for a well-established energy business based in Reading. The business works with commercial and industrial clients across the UK on energy procurement, efficiency solutions and renewable energy contracts. This is a senior sales leadership hire with a clear commercial remit.

About the Role

Following a period of strong growth, the business is looking to bring in an experienced Sales Manager to lead their commercial field team and take ownership of the B2B revenue target. You will be responsible for a team of five field sales executives covering the South East, Thames Valley and Home Counties.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead a team of five commercial field sales executives across the South East
• Own the B2B revenue target and be accountable for team performance against it
• Develop key client relationships at director and procurement level
• Drive new business through direct outreach, broker relationships and tender activity
• Coach and develop the team with a particular focus on pipeline quality and conversion
• Report weekly on performance, pipeline and market intelligence to the commercial director

What We Are Looking For

• Experience in energy sales or an adjacent regulated commercial sales environment
• Proven track record of leading and developing a field sales team
• Strong understanding of complex B2B sales cycles and multi-stakeholder procurement
• Commercially astute with strong numerical and forecasting skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Based within commutable distance of Reading

What Is on Offer

A base salary of £60,000 with a realistic OTE of £85,000, plus company car or car allowance, 25 days holiday, pension and a well-established business with genuine stability and an excellent reputation in the market.
